Chrysallis
(54” x 64”)

Rice paper, reed, Yamato Nori rice sticking paste, rope, heat shrink, metal ring, bulb, cast acrylic
Chrysalis is a re-actualized archive of everything in my possession.

It is reflective of our aspirations to become the being we desire to be by consuming objects and items that we think will sustain the idea, image, and identity of ourselves.

It is an endless cycle and hunger for self-expression through obsessive and compulsive ownership that can never be satisfied, yet provides a sense of home and comfort.
